Personal

Connor Corgiat is entering his second season with Actyve after being an assistant coach for our 16-Black team for the 22/23 season alongside one of our veteran coaches, Charlie Schmittdiel.

Connor has an impressive story to overcome personal setbacks as an athlete to withstand his passion for the sport of volleyball. A San Diego native, he lettered for two years on Varsity at Carlsbad High School earning First Team All-CIF Div I in 2006 and 2007. And in 2007 Connor helped lead Carlsbad HS to a Division I CIF Championship with an impressive record of 32-2.

As a club athlete, he competed on the 16-1, 17-1, and 18-1s for Seaside, then extended his playing career at Grossmont College followed by transferring to University of Hawaii where he suffered an accident that set him back three years. After his recovery, he completed his eligibility at Santa Monica College playing for John Mayer (LMU Beach head coach, and former AVP pro).

Along with Actyve, Connor is currently coaching boys and girls beach teams at St. Monica's.

Connor's love for the game never wavered through this injuries. He enjoys giving back to youth athletes by teaching them the game he grew up playing! We are excited to welcome Connor back for another year, and can't wait to see him influence these young athletes in a positive way!
