Personal
Dan grew up in Mar Vista and started playing volleyball at St. Monica’s High School where he was a middle blocker and setter. He played outside hitter for Torrance Volleyball Club during his junior and senior years in high school. His team went on to capture the 1987 USA Volleyball Boys Jr. National Championship in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dan continued playing volleyball at UCSB as an outside hitter and coached for the Santa Barbara Volleyball Club and Gold Coast Volleyball club during his time in Santa Barbara. He also played beach volleyball during the summers. He majored in International Relations at UCSB and focused on International Law at John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
Dan is an attorney and currently is the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Guthy-Renker. He lives in Santa Monica with his family.
