JT is an Arizona native who came to California to play Division 1 volleyball at UCLA. JT, now a Senior at UCLA, is planning on majoring in Psychology. A successful athlete on and off the court JT has earned a starting role on the men's volleyball team as an Outside Hitter and has made an impact since he was a freshman. He also found himself on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in Winter of 2015. JT's love for coaching and the game of volleyball makes him a great addition to the Actyve family!

Coaching Experience

Jt began coaching UCLA summer camps in 2014. He is heavily involved with both the men's and women's summer camp programs and loves interacting with kids of all ages. He began coaching club in 2015 with Pac 6 boys volleyball club in the Pacific Palisades and immediately fell in love with it!

Playing Experience

JT has made an immediate impact for the Bruins since he stepped on campus. 2015 was a big year for Hatch, playing in all 27 matches for UCLA his freshman year. He led the team in kills and points as well as second in digs. He also acquired many accolades throughout his rookie season such as; AVCA Honorable Mention All-America, Off the Block Freshman All-America, MPSF Freshman of the Year, Second-team All-MPSF. After his freshman year with the Bruins he joined the U.S. Men's Junior National Team and was named captain. The team finished second at the 2015 Pan Am Cup. Jt was a key starter for UCLA his sophomore year as well contributing offensively and defensively. He helped the bruins finish with a 25-7 record and a final four appearance. 

JT attended Mesa High School in Arizona. There he lettered four years in varsity volleyball for coach Tony Millanes. He played setter, libero and outside hitter during his four years. The team made it to the state semifinals in 2013 and to the state championship match in 2014. JT served as team captain for two years and recorded a state-high 533 kills and 231 digs as a senior. He was named Player of the Year as a junior (setter) and senior (outside hitter). JT played club at Spiral and finished fifth in open at the 2013 Junior Olympics. In 2014, his team finished first in the open at JO's and JT was named MVP.
