After graduating high school Mykah went on to play indoor and beach volleyball at Long Beach State, earning starting positions on both teams in her first year and even winning Conference Player of the Week awards in her first two weeks as a Freshman. Throughout her three year career, Mykah won many Big West Conference Awards for both athletics and academics. When her playing career ended short in her junior year due to injury, Mykah immediately focused on her coaching career as a volunteer assistant coach for Long Beach State, a club coach for Goldenwest Volleyball Club, and a high school coach for Los Alamitos High School. Mykah graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and owns her own business in Huntington Beach, and consistently maintains a connection to the game through coaching.
