Sasha grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina where she played club for Triangle Volleyball Club.  She was recruited to play volleyball at Duke University, where she started as the team's libero for 3 seasons. Sasha graduated early from Duke University in December 2016 with a B.A. in Public Policy Studies, minor in Russian Language/Culture, and certificate in Markets and Management Studies.  In January 2017, she moved to California to pursue her Master of Arts in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Sport Management at Long Beach State while competing on the varsity beach volleyball team.  Sasha has been surrounded by volleyball  and coaching her entire life.  Her mom was a member of the Belarussian National Team (1984-1986) and has been a coach at Triangle Volleyball Club for 10 years.

Playing Experience

Sasha was a four-year letterwinner at Leesville Road High School in Raleigh, N.C.  She was ranked the No. 16 player in the nation and the No. 1 player in North Carolina according to MaxPreps.  She led her high school team to a 27-1 record, Cap Eight conference championship, NCHSAA 4A East Regional title and a runner up finish in the NCHSAA 4A state tournament as a senior.  She was listed as Prepvolleyball’s No. 55 Senior Ace, the second-highest ranking for a libero/defensive specialist in 2013.

While at Duke, she was an Honorable Mention All-American, and played three seasons as the team's libero.  She was the 2016 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, making 634 digs for the Blue Devils, with an average of 5.42 per set.  Sasha was a three-time All-Region selection, three-time All-ACC selection, and averaged over five digs per set in each of her final three seasons at Duke.  She set the program single match dig record with 44 digs on Sept. 30, 2016 at Notre Dame.  She finished her career with 2,023 digs, ranking third in Duke history and 9th in ACC history.

In her first season competing for the Long Beach State Beach Volleyball team(2017), Sasha and her partner went 22-13 primarily at the 2's pair.  Sasha was named All-Big West First Team, and has one more season(2018) to compete for The Beach.
