Taylor was born and raised in Bakersfield CA and grew up around sports. Both of her parents were athletes, and her father went on to play football professionally. She started playing sports at a very young age due to her love for the game. She started her volleyball career at Bakersfield College and is a former middle blocker for the #2 seed Bakersfield College and was an honorable mention for the Western Conference. She moved on and graduated from California State Bakersfield with a B.S in Business Administration with a concentration in management and recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with her MBA. An injury ended her volleyball career short which led to becoming a coach early on at a local high school in Bakersfield which led to a new love for the game.
