Personal

Brendan has been a multi-sport athlete his whole life, playing ice hockey, baseball, and soccer in addition to volleyball. His introduction to volleyball was on the beach, learning the basics from two legends of the game, Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos. Once he reached high school, he started playing competitive beach under yet another legend, Dane Selznick, on Palisades High School's beach volleyball team. Brendan decided to continue playing volleyball in college as he attended California Lutheran University to study Exercise Science. While playing for the Kingsmen at CLU, he began to fall in love with the game of volleyball. After he graduated in 2019, he stayed on with the men's volleyball program as an assistant coach, getting his first experience in coaching volleyball. Since then, Brendan has moved back to west LA to continue coaching at Pacifica Christian High School as the head coach of the Boys Varsity team and the head coach of the Girls JV team. He is very excited to continue to learn and progress his coaching career with Actyve volleyball.
