Personal

JooBin began his volleyball career in high school as a freshmen at South High in Torrance California. Originally, volleyball was a way for JooBin to get better at basketball but he quickly found a love for the volleyball that surpassed any other sport he played before. He went on to eventually play varsity his junior season as well as play in a variety of clubs in the South Bay like Beach Cities and Riptides. 

 

In 2020 he started his journey as a teacher at Alexander Hamilton Senior High School where after a year was offered the head varsity volleyball coaching position. Shortly after his first season with Hami ended, he joined Santa Monica Volleyball Club as the head coach of the girls 15’s team. His second year at the club, he was the girls 17’s head coach, placing 4th in the Aloha President’s Day Classic, 3rd at the Nike Boston Volleyball Festival and 13th in the Emeral City Classic. This upcoming school year will be his third year running the program at Hamilton with an expanding girls and boys program.
