Our Programs

Actyve Volleyball is an elite junior girls volleyball club located in Santa Monica and serving the Greater Los Angeles area. Our players range in age from 5 years, in our beginner programs, to 18 years in our competitive travel teams. 

TRAVEL TEAMS

11's - 18's

Ages 10-18

​

Travel Teams are our competitive teams ranging from 11's through 18's. In each age group we will potentially have 3 teams at varying levels of play. Click on the link for Age Definitions above to determine what age group your player falls into.

  • Black Teams - our most competitive teams

    • 3 practices a week (2 during the week, 1 on the weekend)​

    • Mandatory conditioning once a week (immediately before or after practice)

    • Will travel to 2-4 National Qualifiers throughout the season, plus an end of year tournament in June/July. 

    • 15's-18's teams will travel to a recruiting showcase in February.

  • Blue Teams - 

    • 3 practices a week (2 during the week, 1 on the weekend)​

    • Optional conditioning once a week

    • Will travel to 1-3 National Qualifiers throughout the season, plus an end of year tournament in June/July or JVA WCC at the end of May. 

    • 15's-18's teams will travel to a recruiting showcase in February.

  • White Teams - 

    • 3 practices a week (2 during the week, 1 on the weekend)​

    • Optional conditioning once a week

    • Will travel to 1-2 National Qualifiers throughout the season, plus an end of year tournament in June/July.

 

Tryouts are required for all travel teams!

Tryouts for the 23/24 Season:

  • 11's-14's: September 30, 2023

  • 15's-18's: July 22, 2023

REGIONAL TEAMS

11 Regional

Ages 10-12

 

The Regional Team is for the player that is just beginning and is not sure if they are ready for the level of commitment required for a travel team but want more than Actyvators. The Regional team has two practices a week, full uniform and gear, and is designed to get your player ready to join a competitive travel team the following year.

  • Two practices a week - One practice on a weekday/One practice on the weekend.

  • The Regional team will attend the monthly tournaments at the MAC Academy plus the potential of playing in SCVA tournaments according to the readiness of the players/team.

  • Regional teams do not travel outside of Southern California. 

  • Tryouts for the Regional Team each year are the same as our U10-U14 tryouts.

  • The season runs from October thru May.

Tryouts for the 23/24 Season are September 30, 2023. 

ACTYVATORS!

Ages 5-10

Sundays, 3:00-4:30pm (excluding holidays)

 

Actyvators is our program for 1st -5th graders who are interested in getting an early start in the sport of Volleyball. Our coaching staff will spend time teaching the young athletes the most basic skills of the sport using equipment that caters to their skill-level and age. The Actyvators will learn to serve, pass, set, and hit plus get a head start on the competition as they approach the competitive age groups, all while having an amazingly fun time!

There are no Tryouts for the Actyvators.

The program runs August thru June:

  • August thru September - Summer Warm Up: Clinics begin in August and are a great time to check it out and see if your player is interested. These clinics are pay as you go and do not require any commitment to the program.

  • October thru June - Actyvator Full Season: A commitment to the program is required for the full season. The practices continue at the same time on Sundays, 3-4:40pm and in addition the players attend monthly tournaments beginning in January at the MAC Academy with players of the same age and skill level.
