Cheridyn is a current sophomore Outside Hitter for the UCLA volleyball program. She grew up in metro Atlanta, where she was a four-year letter winner at Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, and led them to elite eight and final four appearances. She was tabbed the 2021-22 Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year, ranked the 34th overall recruit for the class of 2022. She also played for A5 Mizuno Volleyball Club during her youth years. Leverette was named an AVCA High School Second Team All-American and Under Armour Second Team All-American in 2021, selected as the Georgia Class 1A Private Player of the Year in 2021 and was a two-time Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) All-American in 2021 and 2022 and 2020 AVCA Phenom Watch List.
